So, who remembers when Sip 'n Strokes became popular? I do and I recall always wanting to go but knew I didn't have talent in painting. I would look at their calendars posted online and wishing I could paint so I could go. So, one day I talked two of my friends in going with me. The painting was of a woman in Paris. The day comes for us to go and we make the day of it with going to eat and just having a girl's night out. Luckily they had the woman and the Eiffel Tower already traced on the canvas for everyone. This turned out pretty good. We were there a very long time due to some mishaps and some of the other ladies there getting a bit to tipsy.

I have been to several more paint parties but not at Sip 'n Strokes. I have attended at Paintology 101 here in Jacksonville on the square a few times and I have attended a couple of private paint parties. The private paint parties are really fun because you bring snack food and drinks and just have fun. Now, I can get a little stressed out when painting because I am just a tad OCD. I have figured out that I am afraid to use too much paint so I barely even cover the canvas and I can not paint a tree or leaves. But as my son says "I am a work in process". So here are just a few of my paintings.

Go find something you enjoy doing. You don't have to be great at it. Just have fun! See my Christmas tress are pretty bad...lol
