My husband and I like to go "junking" to see what we can find. It is a hobby of ours I guess you could say. He likes to look for tools, kitchen knives, guns, and all the guy stuff. I like to look for old quilts, afghans, old corning ware dishes, and seasonal decorations. I like finding those rare, unexpected items. Here are a few things we found at a flea market in Gulf Port, MS over Labor Day weekend. We paid $3.00 each for the purple lap quilt, green afghan, and white with purple afghan. We paid $2.00 each for the purple and yellow and the yellow and white afghan. The milk jugs were $2.00 each. My husband and our 8 year old bought me the flowers that are in the big one. We also purchased a couple of kitchen knives and an old metal ice cream scoop.
I love looking for old treasures too! I like thinking about what kind of history the item might have had.
